Former Collingwood player Dane Swan and his partner Taylor Wilson have spoken about their new life after the arrival of twin girls, Sage and Scout.
The new additions join their older son Tate, who will turn two next month.
Swan has shared his excitement and amazement at becoming a father, describing the birth of his first child as “surreal” and noting that the experience has “definitely changed” him.
“I do stupid stuff and try and make him laugh. That’s my role in the family to make him laugh.
“They’re like a plant the first few months, you feed it and watch it grow.
“I have so much more respect for single parents.”
After spending three months in the United States with his wife visiting her family, Swan returned to Melbourne early last year.
In September, Swan was recovering from a foot injury that he sustained while playing local football with St Kilda City.
Despite the injury, he made an appearance on the red carpet at the Brownlow awards ceremony, using a knee scooter.
Swan, who is also a popular podcaster, announced that he will soon be starting a new job with a relative.
Additionally, he is set to play football in South Australia with the Nangwarry Saints starting in April.
