Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been accused of allegedly sexting a teammate’s girlfriend, after voice and video recordings were leaked on Twitter.
The authenticity of the material is yet to be confirmed, however the allegations of impropriety have been reported by Pakistani and Indian publications.
Allegations have also emerged that Babar promised the woman her boyfriend’s place in the Pakistan side was safe if she continued to sext him.

The Hindustan Times and Fox Sports Australia have reported that the accusations were first posted on Twitter, first by parody pages and then reposted by journalists in the subcontinent.
The hashtag #StayStrongBabarAzam has been trending since Monday night.
It adds to Babar’s growing list of problems, with his captaincy already under fire after home series losses to England and New Zealand.
He is also no stranger to off-field controversy, with a blackmail and harassment case filed against him in the Lahore High Court in 2020.
Azam’s legal team obtained a stay against registration of the case, and the Pakistan captain only ever made limited public comment on the matter.
“It is in court and my lawyer is handling it.”
Azam appears to be currently in Sydney on holiday, posting photos of himself at the Opera House on Monday morning.
