TC Robati charged with sexual assault following alleged incident in Brisbane

Brisbane forward TC Robati has stood down from all club activities and will face court next month after being charged by the police with one count of sexual assault.

“TC Robati has today stood down from all club activities, following an alleged incident at a Brisbane venue in December,” the Broncos stated in a press release.

It is alleged the 21-year-old inappropriately placed his hand on a female during the Christmas leave period.

“We have accepted TC’s position in standing down from all club activities,” Brisbane CEO Dave Donaghy said.

“There is now a legal process in place and that needs to be respected and adhered to.

“We fully acknowledge that this is a serious matter and as a club, we are strongly opposed to any situation that involves the intrusion of personal boundaries with members of the public.

“The Board and I will review the matter further following TC’s court appearance in January.”

The Broncos noted how they contacted the NRL Integrity Unit as soon as the club became aware of the alleged incident and will not make any further comments on the matter until it is resolved.

More to come.
